About Washington Construction

We're a general contractor based in Mount Vernon, Washington. Our registered name is Construction Washington LLC, and we do business as Washington Construction. Construction Washington LLC is owned by the Netuck Holdings Trust (Netuck). We build and remodel homes, run projects for owner-builders, take residential electrical work, and bid small public works across Skagit, Snohomish, Island and Whatcom Counties.

Who we are

Skagit County is home, and the four counties around it are where we work. The owner leads every job, from the first site visit and the written scope through the trades, the paperwork and the final walkthrough. Our old company tagline still says it simply: you imagine it, we build it.

Some of our jobs are big, like a new custom home we're managing for an owner-builder in Stanwood. Many are not: a cracked countertop seam in Bellingham, a rotting propane enclosure in La Conner, a roof cleared of moss in Mount Vernon. We give both the same care, and the same paperwork.

Our licenses

WA contractor registration WASHIC*795O4. We're registered with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) as a general construction contractor. This is the registration that lets us build, remodel and run projects.

Electrical contractor license WASHIC*743DE, residential only. We're licensed as an electrical contractor for residential work: electrical work at homes, including ADUs and the garages and shops that belong to a home. We don't take electrical work on non-residential buildings.

How we work

  1. Tell us about the project

    Use the form or call.

  2. Site visit

We look at it with you and ask the questions that matter.

  3. Written scope and proposal

    What's included, line by line.

  4. Build, with documentation you can hand a bank

Labor and materials on separate purchase orders; registered contractors chosen from competing written bids, with licensed or certified trades where the work requires it; every change in a signed change order; dated progress photos; lien waivers as trades are paid.

  5. Walkthrough and close-out

We walk the finished work with you and hand over the documents and manuals.

Our trade network

Some work our own crew does; some goes to the trades we bring in. Either way, we choose registered contractors from competing written bids, with licensed or certified trades where the work requires it, and every trade works under a written purchase order. On the custom home in Stanwood, for example, we compared bids from seven flooring contractors before the award. You get one point of contact for all of it.

What makes us different

  • Bank-ready documentation. Records kept the way construction lenders ask for them.
  • Labor and materials kept separate, each on its own purchase order.
  • Vetted, registered trades, chosen from competing written bids.
  • One point of contact, from the site visit to the walkthrough.

The team

A small team, led by the owner.

  • Owner and general contractor. Leads every job: the site visit, the scope, the trades and the close-out.
  • Field coordination. Keeps the trades, deliveries and daily site work lined up.
  • Residential electrical team. Electrical work at homes under our residential electrical contractor license.

Public works

We're on the MRSC Small Works Roster and registered in WEBS, and in 2025 we did a prevailing-wage brick masonry repair for a school district in Sedro-Woolley. See our public-works credentials.
